It's a shame that this show is not better known here in the UK, because this episode proves what a brilliant sitcom it was.
This episode manages to be both funny and heartfelt in equal measure, and it's a testament to the writers that although it's a star vehicle for Lea Thompson all the other characters are very funny too, and in this one in particular actually Caroline is the least funny character.
I thought the Annie story line was very touching, with it allowing us to see a different side to the character, while the Del/Charlie and Richard stories were much more for laughs.
I thought this was a great episode of the show.
