Sonny And Cher And Nanette Fabray

A good Season 1 show, Vicki does not appear. There is a long Q&A. Carol introduces Nanette Fabray who wants to have a shorter skirt like Cher. Carol does her Tarzan yell and says it got started by playing Tarzan and Jane with her cousin. She then introduces the cousin in the audience.

A funny VIP sketch has Carol as a nudist behind a fence. She says they elected a president of the camp, in a topical joke, she says his name is Johnson and his wife is Nudie-bird.

Carol plays a frumpy secretary and Nanette is a her flirty co worker, boss Harvey makes Carol do all the work while he ogles Nanette.

Carol and Nanette sing a duet about being buddies while at a bus stop. They play the same characters in the same costumes as the last sketch.

A funny coffee commercial parody is next with husband Harvey complaining about wife Carol's coffee.

Sonny and Cher are introduced. Cher sings a solo first, her top ten hit "You Better Sit Down Kids". Sonny comes on and they sing "Living For You" which was not a hit. Carol comes out and says she and Harvey wrote a song, they sing a parody of current music hits.

There is some funny sketches about foreign airlines. Nanette plays a sexy French stewardess in the first one. Then she and Carol play Japanese geishas, Harvey plays the pilot, a kamikaze. Finally a Polish airline with Carol and Harvey as raggedy clothed stewardess and pilot.

The last musical scene is Carol, Harvey and Lyle singing an old vaudevillian type number with the dancers and guests.

Carol sings her theme song and the guests sign her book.
