It's the Callan and Meres show and they really bounce of well now there is less friction between the two.
Both of them are keeping watch on Major Harcourt. A disgraced former soldier now a hit man for hire but he might be slightly past his sell by date. He even worked for the Section once as a freelancer.
Harcourt has been hired to kill a Field Marshall of some unnamed country which has an active resistance movement in Britain.
When Harcourt escapes, Callan takes his place. He finds out that there are a team of assassins keeping watch on the Field Marshall. One of them Lafarge has a beef against Harcourt.
Both Callan and Meres make sloppy errors in this story leaving them in danger. Also the story is contrived regarding the death of Lafarge's partner.
Yet it is enjoyable due to Woodward and Valentine. I doubt the cat would agree.
