While t a convention in Los Angeles Edgar Buchanan is whooping it up and having a great old time with pals Richard Arlen and Dub Taylor. But when he spots one
of the wanted Curtis brothers in the lobby of the hotel he calls Madrid County and
Glenn Ford. He never finishes the message as he's
whacked upside the head with a gun butt and taken prisoner by Burr DeBenning.
That DeBenning is the stupider of the two brothers is immediately apparent. L.Q Jones the older brother and the brains of the outfit has a score lined up in Los Angeles.
Glenn Ford comes to Los Angeles and works with Lt. Dane Clark of the LA PD to find the Curtis brothers and Edgar Buchanan.
As for Buchanan he turns out to be one cool customer in a tight spot and smarter than either brother.
