Any episode of "Brooklyn Bridge" is worth watching and it was a wonderful short-lived series. However, I must admit that despite begin enjoyable, "On the Line" is a rather weak episode. This is because the entire episode is strung out to an insane length.
The show is set in the school gym and Alan is on the junior high school basketball team which is now locked in a tight game. Early in the episode, Alan is fouled and IF he completes the next baskets, his team will win. The next 15-20 minutes all take place in the time between the foul and Alan ABOUT to take the shots. Talk about stringing a plot out for the show! Much of it is done with various flashbacks and it all is enjoyable but way overdone. I think making it half as long would have actually improved it.
