Rex Randolph, guilt ridden and entranced
mlbroberts11 October 2021
An old friend of Rex's asks him for $1000 but won't tell him why. Rex declines, and later regrets it, only to find his friend has committed suicide - maybe. Rex had seen the man with a woman with a sex drive that caught his attention, but not in a good way. He's certain she has something to do with his friend's death. He goes looking for her, to be led to an old family with another young woman who is the opposite - plain, soft-spoken, but dedicated to her father. Rex is entranced, feeling like the girl is being imprisoned into a childhood of her father's making. Rex is led deeper into the mix of characters until he finally learns this family is far more complex than he imagined.
