A Woman's Perspective

Warning: Spoilers
When Nora asks Clay to go with her to the Indian agent about the money he owes her, he really doesn't know how much trouble his 'helping out' will be. When they arrive, Sam King (Star Trek's Dr. McCoy) isn't there. Instead, a chief apache is waiting to kill McCoy. Clay talks the Indian into letting McCoy...er...King have a fair trial, but even that proves feeble since the charges Clay thought he was guilty for actually turn out to be a lot worse. King kidnapped at beat the chief's wife...

That's when things really heat up. Of course I happen to like the ending the best. Sparring between Clay and Marshal Scott always makes me smile. These two were perfectly suited for the roles they have to play. I love how they have a love/hate relationship! With Clay's moral gun fighting standards and the Marshal's ethical "by the law" standards, it makes for some interesting covos for sure!

Apache Trail
Prismark106 July 2023
Still continuing from Nora's freight line story. Nora asks Clay Culhane to accompany her to visit Indian agent Sam King (Deforest Kelley) who runs a trading outpost in reservation land.

King owes her money and is a man with a bad reputation both with Americans and Native Americans.

Only when they arrive, King's store is taken over by Apaches. Their chief Ulzana is also looking for Sam King, he has his own account to settle. He is adamant that no witnesses are left behind as well.

When King is brought in, Clay Culhane wants to make sure he receives justice. King has been accused of give false witness testimony, allowing natives Indians to starve, making them sign their land away.

The biggest crime as that King abducted chief Ulzana's wife whipped her and left her for dead.

Only after justice is done both Clay and Nora have to battle for their own survival.

It is a story where Kelley plays a vile villain, the Apaches are no angels. They want revenge but are prepared to kill innocent people as well.
