Reg is trying to organise a Quiz, Ackland and Maitland deal with a very strange couple, who arrive at the front desk with a strange story about their neighbour.
It's a real change in time, we've had some very big, loud, dramatic episodes, this is a real departure from that, it's all very subtle and odd, the concerned neighbours add something to this episode. It's a very nicely written episode, with plenty of layers, as it develops those layers fall away, you can't help but imagine all sorts, this is very good indeed.
I did like the couple playing The Chamberlains, they were suitably sinister and creepy, the show does a great job with thugs and slags, not often we get oddballs, these two are terrific. If you're a Doctor Who fan, you'll recognise Mrs Chamberlain, Bridget Turner, from the episode Gridlock.
June has a very definite twinkle in her eye for Sergeant Maitland, and who can blame her!
9/10.
