Loxton is delighted to pick up someone who's failed to pay his fine, it's personal as he spat at Loxton when arrested, on the way to get him though, Quinnan is almost run down by a speeding Merc.
It's a very fresh feeling episode, yes there's Reg behaving in a slightly anal fashion, and there's Loxton behaving in his usual truculent way, but it is an intriguing, well paced, distinctive episode. You'll be curious to learn why people are behaving as they are.
Lisa Geoghan finally makes her debut as Polly Page, there has definitely been a reliance on Cathy, Norika and June, it has felt incredibly unbalanced since Ford and French vanished. Geoghan appeared in an earlier episode, and probably impressed that powers that be.
George Irving is always great value, he's such a good actor, I've always thought he has such a wonderful, characterful face.
