The Company You Keep
Prismark1018 May 2020
There are a spate of burglaries in Jersey. They seem to know exactly where all the stuff is hidden as if they have insider information.

Well to do Angela Marshall speeds around in her husband's Porsche. She has hooked up with a couple of burglars from London and is also having an affair with one of them.

Angela gives them all the vital information but she might be taking a risk too far wanting her brother in law burgled.

It looks like Angela is attracted to the risk, more so than the burglars.

Bergerac discovers that a soiree thrown by Charlie Hungerford yields vital clues.

Writer Tony Hoare was well known for writing episodes of Minder, London's Burning and The Sweeney.

This was a a bit too run of the mill. A couple of outsiders, cockney wide boys. They would soon on Bergerac's radar.

Tony Selby and Mike Grady play the burglars in what looked like a windswept Jersey.

Routine episode

London crooks Cook (Tony Selby) and Langdon (Mike Grady) have been burglarizing the homes of rich Jersey residents. Wealthy Angela Marshall (Mel Martin) is having an affair with Cook, and is tipping them off when the owners will be away. The police are stumped, but with the help of Charlie Hungerford, Bergerac might catch the crooks.

This was pretty routine stuff. Mel Martin was good, and there was some recognizable actors like Tony Selby, Angela Browne, Ralph Michael and Denis Lill in the cast. 2.5/5
