The team of Fred Lincoln and Patti Rhodes made this Adam & Eve treatment of that familiar story: going to Hollywood in search of fame and fortune, followed by a return to reality. What results is an okay, sincere effort as a XXX movie.

Structure is a bit odd: the team keeps you guessing as to which heroine is central to the tale. Is it April, well-cast as a free-spirit who humps her lover Chris Cannon outside by the barn in the opening reels, then bids this budding writer adieu as he embarks for La La Land.

Or is it Jezebelle Bond (who receives top billing), a neighbor of Cannon's, when we see him not as the successful screenwriter he aspired to become but working as manager of an apartment complex, cleaning the pool, doing repair jobs for fellow tenants.

After its key sex scenes including a lesbian hook up for fellow neighbors Kaylynn and Michelle Michaels, film ends with Jezebelle, a failed actress, who decides to return to her home in Ohio and lover Billy Glide (drawn no doubt by that big dick of his she's been missing). The two stories in Patti's screenplay dovetail, in that Cannon has related to Bond his own tale of leaving April to also go to Hollywood, and he encourages her to go home to her true love. Happy ending has April's joy at Chris returning to her, too.
