. . . recalls the title character of A CONVERSATION WITH ROY DISNEY, one of the big cheese's nephews, on the advent of World War Two. "They kept the real rifles for the real soldiers," Roy continues, before mentioning how he was gifted one of the U. S. taxpayer-subsidized aircraft models from a top secret aircraft identification training film to use as a toy or plaything. "It was hard times for everybody--we had ration stamps, and had to maintain a Victory Garden," Roy laments. "In the end, the war became a bitter memory," the Next Generation rues, because the Disney Corporation was not raking in the profits to which it was used. "We did not get back on the right track until CINDERELLA came out in 1951," Disney opines.
