A couple making detailed arrangements for their funeral is treated in this short with humor, lightness and a quite upbeat manner that one
almost forgets the death factor. It's never morbid or depressing because the old couple, played by veterans Paulo José and Laura Cardoso, keep on choosing
things (coffins, music, plot to be interred and the party) as just acquistions of which they care, value and what both parties understand as likeable and
of good taste; and no one around them makes them worried with anything.
The curiosity is on us in seeing two thoughtful individuals having some care about their final days, even if it's ahead or not, rather than being immature or careless folks who avoid talking about the topic. Instead, the two have grace and style, bickering over the colors of flowers and the appropriate funeral march to be played.
On a reflective note, we can look from the unusual perspective of two people concerned to what the living folks will see them at their resting place, but the two won't be able to see it except in this present moment where they are buying and preparing things. A small and weird form of vanity and pride.
