One of my favourite entries in the series, whenever I watch the Limbo Connection I'm always reminded of Frances Durbridge's excellent novel 'My Wife Melissa,' where a successful wife disappears, and the number one suspect is the drunken husband, struggling with his writing, more then a few crossovers.
That doesn't detract from the enjoyment of this production, it's full of twists and turns, you can't help but feel the frustration of James Bolam's character Mark Omney. Personally, I think the whole thing gets a massive lift from the appearance of the magical Beatrix Lehmann who adds something special to the drunken Blanche Terraine, even adding a touch of humour.
It is a great start, you get a real sense of foreboding as Claire enters that mysterious private clinic. 8/10
