Another lockdown weekend which i'm so used to now unlike before. It was dreadful seeing this pandemic noise everywhere and getting sucker punched. I know people have been dealing with this covid multiverse isolation phase with meditation, therapies and not just watch a movie /series. My booster has been few human beings, music, movies, memes, David Lynch weather forecast, pro-wrestling, porn in that exact order!

So, i was looking for stuff related to throat singing and i stumbled upon Beatrice Deer, an aboriginal artist from Nunavik. My brain immediately thought of Alanis Obomsawin's Canada Vignettes series. I quickly played the video on NFB and it felt so good revisiting this. Just 1 minute but so serene and wonderful to watch a Nunavik family doing their regular stuff like fishing, picking berry and the elders throat-singing. Amidst all that is going on, this one minute short gives you that little smile you didn't know you needed.
