A sexist film which could have been one of the best critics against sexism
guisreis6 October 2016
This could have been a revolutionary movie, as it innovates by exchanging the conventional roles and behaviors of men and women in Brazilian patriarchal society. Though, as they wanted to make fun of them, it is more a caricature than an effective critic of prejudices and of lack of rights and opportunities. Besides that, as naked women bodies are shown all the time, portraying them in dominant positions does not really helps to change gender mismatch. Bad overacting is perhaps the worst problem of this film with a high erotic trait as it was common in Brazilian cinema in those times. There are some minor details which are the best elements of the movie, as they reproduce the often unnoticed ways sexism operates in society. Therefore, the final outcome is bad, but the movie does worth mention.
