This is a pornochanchada (Brazilian softcore comedy genre from the 70's and 80's) divided in three independent segments. The movie begins with a seriously problematic and deeply unfunny and conservative segment by Anselmo Duarte (it is hard to believe that this was a short film by the very same director of The given word/O pagador de promessas and Fury of the avenger/Quelé do pajeú!): homophobic and sexist, even praising sexual harassment. The second segment, directed by John Herbert and placed in Rio de Janeiro, adapted from a story by great writer Lygia Fagundes Telles, is intriguing and much better, although without a development as good as expected considering its nice plot. The latest and probably best segment, ´by Adriano Stuart, begins seeming too predictable, but, since the appearance of the symbol that names the title, it becomes an acceptable comedy of manners held in São Paulo (there is even a Corinthians vs São Paulo FC derby).
I would rate each segment sepparately this way: Oh, cruel doubt - 3 The bachellor - 6 Fleur-de-lys - 6 AVERAGE - 5.
