- Mild nudity; just some women's pubic hair. All non-sexual.
- Just after 2:23 into the movie, Marian (Julianne Moore) removes her pants to clean them after spilling a drink on them. This is quite explicit as her vulva and ginger pubic hair are fully exposed along with her butocks. Her labia are mostly obscured by her pubic hair. This is a long scene as she walks around the house.
- Late in the movie, Julianne Moore's character cleans her skirt stands, facing the camera, with no pants on while arguing with her husband. This is a lengthy scene in which the woman removes her skirt and exposes her pubic region while she cleans her pants for 3-5 minutes while talking to a clothed man. Not sexual at all.
- A nude woman walks across screen on her way out of a shower, then wraps a towel around her, briefly revealing breasts and pubic region.
- A woman strips off all her clothes and jumps into her swimming pool while a man watches without her knowledge. She shows her breasts and pubic area.
- We see a man urinating into a river. A prosthetic is shown repeatedly during this scene.
- A dead woman's mostly naked body is seen repeatedly just under the surface of a river.
- A woman poses nude while someone paints her. We see her breasts
- A woman does a phone sex session while at home, putting a diaper on a baby. (Scene only lasts about one minute). The same woman also does several other phone sex sessions.

- There is a fair amount of strong language throughout. About 35 profanities (Jesus, Christ, God damn, and so forth); about 30 uses of various forms of f*ck (some more may be partially obscured) used both in sexual and exclamatory ways; 11 uses of sh*t, and about 30 other assorted crude words, e.g. slang terms for body parts and functions. There are also uses of minor obscenities such as ass, bastard, and bitch.
