I was very much short sheeted in every respect with this made for t.v drama, obviously done on a shoestring budget. It's almost unremarkable in every way.
Cindy (Shirley) Williams, a museum tour guide, is having these disturbing, yet arousing dreams, about this handsome stranger (Morse), she runs into the hands of, as being followed. She's seeing the same person, locales, in real life, while being obsessively drawn to Morse, as being unfulfilled romantically by current partner, cop (hot Horsely), a faltering decision, as to whether, she should give cop, Horsely the flick. Now. things worsen, with William's dreaming of future girl victims in a spate of murders, which come true. and guess who the killer is- Duhh? The best thing about this film, is Morse and that's stretching it. It's a dull, poorly written movie with hardly any constructive thriller elements, or tense solid, plotting, joining film thrillers, like the much lazy written, Somebody Killed Her Husband, which was at least fun, cause of it's two mains. You're be left quite despondent with the poor effort, a great premise, which could of been so much more. Why Williams, is dreaming about these, soon to be victims, is totally absurd, and unbelievable, which just heightened that disappointment. Lets hope this movie never comes true in real life.

I bought this film for £1 in my local corner shop when I had a hangover. It made it worse. Much worse. .....

There's much you can write about the made for TV extravaganza that is "When Dreams Come True". I bought this movie for camp value when I had a particularly bad hangover and it actually made it worse. It's the story of a man with a giant head - but his face only takes up half of this head. Not only does he have a tiny face and a giant head but he also has very big hair. This is the entire plot of the film, apart from some deeply unnecessary subtext involving gypsies. The most frightening thing was that having seen and, supposedly got over this film, I then started seeing giant head tiny face man everywhere - he popped up as the virus carrier in "Twelve Monkeys" and then working with Lar Von Trier and Bjork as the creepy guy with the massive head in "Dancer in the Dark". So, there is a moral to this sad and twisted tale. Never buy a film for a pound - it will haunt you forever more. (The punchline being that I've now watched "when dreams come true" about ten times!!!!!)
