Being located in the UK I can only comment on the European release of this film but the preparation of the DVD master is severely flawed. According to the cover notes the documentary starts (in typical Imax fashion of arresting the attention of the viewer) by showing a gigantic representation in sound and light of the start of the universe - the big bang. Sadly, and for some inexplicable reason, this section has been edited out making the whole thing begin with a whimper. Due to this draconian ham-fistedness with the editing the visuals now appear out of sync with the soundtrack. This is most apparent at the end of the documentary when the credits start to roll before the narrator has finished talking and the music abruptly ends because we have reached the last frame! In conclusion, this must be the dullest account I have ever seen on the origins of the universe. Save your money and avoid... even if you see it in the bargain bin.
