I loved the movie. Reminded me of a cross over between 28 days later, Shaun of the dead, Home Alone and Contagion.
Only part of the movie that was a massive let down was the virtue signalling lead role! At the very end, when you think he'd learnt that survival means making the hard decisions he murders the very person who saved his life multiple times. It was a ridiculous, laughable ending that had me shouting at the tv screen.
It was such a shame. It could have ended so much better. I could be here, giving this a 10/10. I could have put this on the same pedestal as 28 days later... but no. The writer decided that the moral of the story was too important and that trumped entertainment value.
Also, for him to leave the school, at the post ending scene was even more ridiculous. If he continued with his sanctimonious view he wouldn't last 5 minutes in that post apocalyptic world, yet he was portrayed as some type of ranger elite character.
