Review of Coma

Warning: Spoilers
Excellent performances from the family who appear very natural and it is well made.

Unfortunately I could only make it through the first episode and have no interest in returning.

The plot and characters are best described as flimsy. The kid in the coma was genuinely terrifying but his only motivation seemed to be that he was told off in a carpark. Why was he hell-bent on creating terror for this family.

Then after the knockout punch, why oh why did the main character make up the central lie? He should have told the truth from the get go - he was being intimidated and he had even reported it so no law would have convicted him. He only knew the kid was from a 'gangster' family after his lie had been told.

A tweak to the script where the thug had some sort of motivation and a tweak to provide the reason for the cover up would have stopped this becoming almost comical in its stupidity.
