Context is everything

Once you put things into historical context it begins to make sense. They spend a lot of time kind of chastising the US for dropping the Bomb. At the time the Japanese killed about 110000 Americans and injured about 240000. The next target was to invade Japan. Estimate were high as 1,000,000 casuatlies on the US side and innumerable on the Japanese side. The Japanese sneaked attacked us at Pearl Harbor doing immense damage. They did, ot surrender before the bomb was dropped. So that was the situation in its most basic terms. Both sides were trying to win the war. If,they had it I'm sure they would have used it. Hitler certainly would have.

The world is a violent, unpredictable place. We are always at war cold or hot with someone else. Other regions are the same if not worse. A very complicated world with a lot of historical grievances against each other such as the Middle East.

Scary part was early when they described the beginning of communism I immediately thought it's the same tactics used by today's left wing Dems. They have always had a soft spot for communism but this lays out how it was born and what it is. A great job showing how bad communism actually is and what a debacle it always becomes. Amazing that some left wing Americans love it. . Overall a pretty good documentary.
