Owen Lark (Peter Mullan) keeps a woman locked up in his basement, secured to a chair in his 400-year-old pub called, "The Queen's Head." He considers her a curse even when Neil (Jeremy Irvine) offers $2,000 (Euro? Pounds?) to see her. He rejects the offer. His attempt to kill the woman backfires and his estranged daughter Iris (Freya Allan) inherits the place. Between Neil and a video left behind, she figures out the woman is a necromancer and you can speak to a dead loved one for two minutes. She is difficult to control, even following the rules. The money is too tempting for Iris.
