Warning: Spoilers
I think that the concept of the movie is great and it has the potential to be a heartwarming movie while still being a good cooking movie. But I found the writing of the script to be weird and I feel like there were too many plot holes that I couldn't ignore (like what another user said about checking ID in competitions). The acting of some of the actors felt unnatural and awkward as well. However, some amazing and heartwarming moments made my heart melt. Overall I couldn't enjoy the movie as much as I wish I could due to all of this and the fact that the timing and pacing of the movie were so weird too. They could've had a real heartwrenching moment where Mark found out the truth, where the actor could've shown his acting skills even more but they instead decided to skip that part. I know they already showed him confronting his grandpa but I feel like it was something that I was anticipating like 'Ooo I can't wait to see how he reacts' as most people do in movies or series. They had time to show scenery and poorly angled shots but not that? Sad since it could've been a great movie but the directing was just not it.
