I really enjoyed this film. The film opens with a little bit of action which was fun. Very quickly the film dives in to the mental and emotional burden this firefighter carries. The acting in this film is very well done. From the principals to the supporting roles, there were few moments where the acting took me away from the story. The writing works well also as there is enough build up that the issues that the main character has all of a sudden don't just get solved or go away a La deus ex machina. The director said, "Most people have one or two traumatic experiences they need to process in their lives, first responders have one or two traumatic experiences every few months that they need to process." That is what this movie is about and they do a great job showing the importance of getting support in dealing with that in a healthy matter.
