I was fascinated in the beginning especially watching as Albert connected the little girl Mia with her ice dentures. There's definitely a lot to be said for the symbolism behind a lot of what happens to Mia. She bleeds a lot and I think this is supposed to symbolize her first period. She is about that age. I got bored after about the first 40 minutes and this movie is almost 2 hours long. The ending scene is grotesque though, and if you're into disturbing scenes then you might enjoy this. There's a lot of lighting and camera angles and mood music but in my opinion not enough actual plot to keep the story going.
