As a collegiate distance runner, this was extremely hard to watch. The running was so unrealistic. The best marathon runners in the world would not split a 4:00 mile consecutively in the last 2 miles of the race. Eluid Kipchoge and Kelvin Kiptum are the greatest marathoners to ever live and their marathon pace is 4:36 per mile average. Couldn't they at least get actors that actually know how to run properly and realistically. Jakob ingebrigsten has the 2 mile world record and it's barely under 4:00 per mile pace.
The acting and script seems AI generated. Everything was all over the place. Why were rattle snakes in the middle of a rainstorm? Don't they live in dry environments? The portrayal of autism in this movie is stereotypical and shows that the writers and director do not know anything about autism or distance running.
