I really enjoyed this. I knew what I'd be getting and it did exactly what was on the tin. Dodgy accent- tick, scumbag bad guys- tick, completely unrealistic but fun and satisfying action scenes-tick. Big Jase going about his life quietly not bothering anybody, until the bad guys hurt someone he likes and it's time for retribution, Statham style. I'm not sure what disappointed reviewers were expecting from a Jason Statham film, The Graduate? A deep dive in to the complexity of the human condition? Films don't always need to make us think about our existence or be a commentary on an increasingly more depressing society. This is top notch fun.
