I have not read or am aware of the graphic novel that this series is based on but I found this series refreshing as the writer did a good job in my opinion the cast hold their own and their characters grow with each episode which is always a plus to any story allowing the viewer to get to know the characters and in doing so form their opinions the inclusion of an an slightly alternative Holmes and Watson adds an extra element to the story that is the veil between the living and dead having been eroded away allowing dark forces to enter and reek evil in Victorian London I do hope Netflix renews it for another season I am currently on episode 5 and have found it enjoyable to watch.
