Fascinatingy amoral.

Warning: Spoilers
A top notch, fun and racy pre-code drama that has three very uninhibited women of different temperaments and ethical standards, with leading lady Bebe Daniels going after the married Ben Lyon (whom she had married the previous year in real life), fun loving Joan Blondell (using older men for paid for good times but hoping one her own age comes along to settle down with) and Lyon's estranged wife, Natalie Moorehead, who enjoys no strings attached flings.

Then there's wealthy older businessman Lewis Stone whom each of the women at least one point in the film make moves on, hardly a lover boy type, but dashing in a way that Judge Hardy never was. The ethical moral of this is that most women ultimately want a husband, but aren't opposed to a little fun until that comes along, fun being of the sexual variety. Blondell and Moorehead get the best lines and know how to snark them out. Well directed by Roy Del Ruth with great art decco sets, the type that made depression era audiences drool.
