This is a nice coming of age and family film - with a humorous and humane touch, highlighting that growing pains and sexuality may pose a challenge - but are simply part of life, and can be harmoniusly overcome with Communication, Emapthy and Love.
The story: French teenager Isabelle is spending her summer holiday with her middle-class family in the south of France and decides to lose her virginity with German teenager Felix - an experience which satifies Felix, but not so much Isabelle :( Which triggers Isabelle's decision to conduct an experiment by taking up a secret life as a call girl.
PS: This is possibly a potent pointer that German guys show not enough empathy and sexual sensitivity towards French girls; since Germans are terrible and awful lovers - which I can attest to, having done a sexual psychologiocal study among Germans myself; and the results were hardly satisfying :( So let's hope that Germany will progress in the area of Love and Communication in the future :)
The story also contains a funny subplot with Isabelle's younger brother Victor - a great scientist in the making - who observes his sister' transformation with a keen scientfic eye, from an innocent girl, to a sexually active woman who takes her whole family on a cool roller coaster in the process :)
So Lucy and I can certainly recommend this film to our fellow World Citizens - in particular the UK - so that Love and Light can be manifested in the Global Community.
