Others have pointed out many of the stupidities of this episode and the previous episode. Here's another to add to the list. I'm a tech person so here's goes...
...instead of roaming through the desert trying to find buried Lucy, nobody in the show seems to have thought about the fact that the drum she is buried in is broadcasting a signal in order to deliver video to the bad guy's phone. It seems unlikely that there would be cell service out in the middle of nowhere, so he must be picking up the signal directly from the camera in the drum. How is the transmitter strong enough running on a couple of small batteries, buried in a steel can underground? There would likely have to be an above ground antenna, probably a dish pointed at the house. If there is cell service they might be able to triangulate on it.
All this might take too long, but even so, the writers should have at least thought of this and demonstrated that the characters have brains.
Ultimately, it's all so predictable and unimaginative. The dropped ring which Tim just happens to catch a glint of---gimme a break. Yawn.
