Both a distinguished judge and a doctor are murdered, tied to a woman who they committed to a mental hospital. This story has its moments, particularly the start when the judge receives a creepy phone call from the grave? If you are a cop show fan, you'll recognize the same plot (returning from the dead!) from a MANNIX episode, also CANNON, nevertheless a lot of fun, shades of all those campy horror films us kids grew up on.
Calling Barnaby and JR. Super cast here with James Naughton as Dr. Manning, who previously co-starred on the tv series, PLANET OF THE APES. Joan Tompkins (MY THREE SONS) plays Judge Royce.
Look for Linda Kelsey, about a year before her co-starring on LOU GRANT. Anthony Geary in an early role before fame on GENERAL HOSPITAL. Yes, there is a mistake. His character has a disabled left arm, yet he uses it to hold a clipboard. They should have caught that one, although it may have been left in to spruce up the mystery. Hmmm?
