The Traitors Australia (2022–2023)
6/10
Not as good as the UK version, but the ending was gratifying

Warning: Spoilers
At first it seemed like the players were just really, really bad at this game. And it's true, they were - traitors included. Sam, the self-proclaimed master puppeteer failed to eliminate all but one of his fellow traitors. But then I noticed a pattern. Every single woman who identified and called out Sam or another traitor at the round table was promptly banished by her fellow faithfuls. Hell, Annabel named both of the traitors very early on, and the faithfuls ignored her completely. Then a thought came to me: "I wonder if Australia is a particularly sexist country?" After some investigation I discovered that research has shown Australia to have some of the worst attitudes towards women of any Western country. Then I could name what had been bothering me throughout the show. Part of the reason the faithfuls were totally unable to band together behind the women who figured it out is that they were blinded by their own discriminatory views about women. And not just men, although the ex-policeman who called Anabel's excellent insight "a masterclass in manipulation" has a lot to answer for. No, unfortunately it's clear that Australian women share this blind spot - like when everyone suddenly turned on Gloria after she called out Sam.

The only redeeming feature was how salty Sam (and Blake) got at the end when Camille denied them the money they were so sure they deserved (they didn't, lol). That was entertaining.
