The presentation here is predictable, but there's fun, titillating moments too.
The company puts out word and ladies come to audition as you're shown a NYC model search. See candidates speak & get their pictures taken. Pose clothed, naked. It's quickly narrowed down to twelve who are flown out to live next to the Playboy mansion in LA as the contest happens over a period of two weeks. Ava Fabian - Playmate Aug 1986 - acts as quasi-host or as they call her "Bunny Mother". Every step of the way is based on results of photo shoots judged by Playboy staff, Hef.
Done in that reality tv format comes the usual tropes. Personable one-on-one interviews, nerves, smiles, tears, drama, fun, friendships and eliminations. A lot of work goes into shooting a pictorial and this does a good job showing behind the lens. Unfortunately not all the ladies come off the best shattering the fantasy somewhat. Personalities & comments aside, they're all certainly attractive. Some are the 'girl next door' type and others have previous modelling experience. There's a heavy dose of blondes, but that's always been the case.
Nudity comes courtesy of trying on clothes, showers, few spontaneous moments & shooting of their pics. I wouldn't make it the main reason to watch. If that's your sole focus you'd be better served with one of their normal videos. You might not always agree with who gets cut too, but that's a matter of taste. There's a healthy mix of natural breasts & the enhanced on route to crowning a winner.

I'm not quite sure who the main viewing audience for 'Who Wants To Be A Playboy Centerfold' was, but it's a harmless curiosity piece and I've spent 2 hours worse. There were some insights into Playboy & fun casual moments with the ladies beyond the nudity however this is not something I'll rewatch.
