Watched the show years ago and tried to love it but really could not get into it.
The base premise is great. Humanity is attacked and forced off their colonies by the Cylons.
But it soon goes downhill. First thing discipline on the ship is atrocious. I have a very low discipline but even I do not drink. Most pilots in the show (like Starbuck) are drunk more often than not.
For someone up against a race of robots (which even against a human in its prime have an advantage) this is downright idiotic.
Then I do not even recall them every trying to understand their opponent. Which is basically the FIRST rule of warfare.
Then halfway into the series the remnants of humanity attempt to hide on a new planet. Again downright moronic. I have seen The Terminator and remember the classic line "He'll find her, that is what he does. That is ALL he does!" Cylons are machines they too do not give up.
In the end they are discovered because of course they are and one of the two last Battlestars is lost because of it.
The premise is great and I love it. But the characters in the show are so stupid that it is hard not to shake one's head in disbelief or even like them.
