Something special

Warning: Spoilers
This film has an unusual way of story telling, it is a unique combination of documentary and drama/thriller and a hint of metaphysical/fantasy (for lack of a better word for this genre aspect of the film). The underlying theme is the Turkish-kurdish conflict and the film represents in a unique way how this conflict lingers in society, haunts it and impacts lives in different ways. At the same time the plot drew me in like a good thriller would.

I was especially captivated by the way the young child actress portrayed the character of Melek, her performance was truly impressive. She was extraordinarily present and serious in spite of her young age.
