Where Are You, Christmas? (2023 TV Movie)
7/10
So freaking good!

This being rated just a 6.4 average is so shocking, because I thought it was fantastic! Even by Hallmark standards, I thought everything was so well crafted, written, and acted. Addy was such a lovable protagonist as she tried to figure out what Christmas meant to her/what she really wanted. The supporting cast was quirky and funny, and those more emotional moments were hit near perfectly, in particular from the actor who played Addy's dad.

I thought the special effects of the black-and-white was super well done. This movie was super wholesome, too, and it didn't feel bogged down by the usual silliness that sometimes befalls Hallmark films. I was just super invested in how each character was going to be brought to remember Christmas, and I liked that it wasn't the same kind of memory or event that triggered it.

The chemistry between Lyndsy Fonseca and Michael Rady really sold it for me. As they fell in love, it felt real as Hunter opened up more, and Addy started to let go of expectations and doing what she thought was what she wanted. Since pretty much all of these movies feature some type of romance angle, if the leads aren't convincing, I tend to check out fairly quick, but Addy and Hunter's love story worked on all aspects for me tbh.

I don't know about anyone else, but I found this super endearing and engaging all the way through. This will definitely be one I rewatch over the years, and one of the best of the CTC '23 collection!
