Lots - and I mean lots - of violence! But perhaps I'm used to films in which violence serves a purpose. Then again, The Continental is a prequel to the John Wick shows so violence is to be expected.
Forget the violence and focus on the soundtrack! Great choice of songs from the seventies - am I showing my age! - with epic classics from bands like Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd among others.
The series itself is watchable, especially if you like gratuitous violence (did I already mention that??!!). The plot storyline is acceptable and it uses the setting of New York in the late 1970s well to its advantage.
