I am so in love with the off-beat, the weird, the overdrawn character, that I am willing to forgive a few shortcomings. The Sheriff is still made of flesh and blood, and he is tempting fate. I'm sure he will be responsible for about thirty deaths, including many of his own people. His deputy is a dangerous Barney Fife. I agree with the Home Alone references, with the traps being set. We know a little more about Dot. She is probably a sociopath, but she makes very good pancakes. The scene at the gas station that ends the second episode is really striking and we know there are several forces at work. All three crazies, and Dot is included, will not shrink so the Coen Brothers are setting things up for a grand encounter. Oh, while the accents are fun, they really aren't very subtle. Maybe they could have pulled them back a bit more.
