Poor Garment workers between Mobsters and Union, who is worst??
20 November 2023
Clearly a picture driven for to become the Unions more palatable on America having as counterpoint the Mobsters inside of those factories on Garment district in New York, it sounds a merchandise to this bloodsuckers of worker's sweet, of course the producers includes a gruesome gang aiming for the audience takes sides on behalf of the weakest and underprivileged, otherwise portraits the Mobster as true menace as bad guys, how it was really true, a contrived plight against the evil against the good.

Kerwin Mathews plays Alan Mitchell a wayward guy back home after years on overseas, tries reconnecting with his bossy father Walter Mitchell (Lee J. Cobb) head's partnership of Roxton Fashion always keep the Union aside of its factory, due he already knows as it really work out, thus he got a private security to ward off in order to keep his factory's control, his old partner Fred Kenner (Robert Ellenstein) be supportive unionize, unfortunately Kenner gonna dying in suspicious way, somehow it's triggered a massive wave of picket lines at streets to avoid the load of textiles reach in the Roxton factory, forcing a negotiation, meanwhile the Mobsters lead by the bleak leader Artie Ravidge (Richard Boone) strikes back killing in an ambush the Union selfless member Tulio Renata (Robert Loggia), henceforth Alan Mitchell has a special fondness by the gorgeous Renata's wife Theresa (Gia Scala) (who wouldn't)

The outcome is predicable, the message is clear on behalf of Union as true solution to the endless troubles at Garment Street as long working hours, no vacation, unhealthy conditions, lowest payments and so for, it really did on those days, however the Union wasn't a proper answer as nowadays we already know the worst men infiltrate in this self-called Unions to grab the worker's money as never seen before causing more damages than support, anyhow an average entertainment if we forget the mismatches and the far-fetched presentation.
