When I was a kid, I watched Dr. Dolittle more times than I can count. After all these years, I decided to rewatch the movie again and see if it was still as good as I remembered it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that, for the most part, Dr. Dolittle holds up pretty well. The overall writing and pacing of the movie was still solid, and I found myself enjoying it. The acting was also great, with the actors playing the roles of Dr. Dolittle and the animals especially standing out. My biggest complaint about the movie is that the comedy doesn't always hold up. Some of the jokes were a little too dated and the movie drags a bit in some parts. That said, I still found myself enjoying the movie and laughing at some of the humor.
