You might say that by trying to be concise, the documentary misses a lot of context and events and honestly just skips everything involving the actual invasion and just fast-forwards to the insurgency. But then again, in 2007, nobody cared about anything else but the fact that the American army wasn't really prepared to face IEDs costing 30 dollars a piece. The title says it all. And as much as you wish it was a whole overview of the conflict, it's not. It's just a highlight of screw-ups and gigantic oversights that, with good enough highsight, seem quite obvious but not the entire administration. And sure, it might seem like a liberal finger pointing at a completely incompetent cabal of out-of-touch Republicans, but what else can it do? It's impossible to see the not-too-distant future of 2011, where everyone will find out that it's not the party that dictates that once in a while the USA must pick a country and smash it against the wall under vague notions of democracy. It's America's God's given right, actually. Who is brave enough to talk back to the sheriff?
