I'm not saying that this isn't a good episode. There is plenty of emotional triggering included and some good cinematography, but the dialog is clumsy and unrealistic. The characters become a mass of men with one face, in some cases, and several behave uncharacteristically similar in their reactions, compared to their individualistic performances in earlier episodes.
So far, the postwar stories are unsatisfying, with the more interesting characters being pushed out of the picture. I expect more of this kind of thing in the closing episode. Looking at the reviews of this episode make it seem that the 10 star fanboys watched some other episode that I missed somehow because this isn't the "best episode of the series" let alone "the best episode in tv history".
Reading those little blurbs just tell me that the reviewer had one or more emotional triggers pulled and can't even explain why the episode was worthy of the 10 stars being awarded.
