Kidsongs (1987– )

Good, But Not Great

I watched plenty of Kidsongs as a kid, but I haven't seen it in forever, and I still occasionally listen to their songs. When I was in grade school, my class would watch it together during music class on some days. I used to have a couple Kidsongs DVDs, but I don't know what happened to them. They most likely got lost. I honestly don't remember a whole lot about the show. There were kids who sang covers of children's songs, Christmas songs, and even songs by well-known artists like Elvis and the Beach Boys. If I remember correctly, they never sang any original songs. I think the episodes consisted mostly of the characters singing and didn't have plots, though I could be wrong.

The sets were very well made and had a lot of detail, and the Biggles were cute. Sometimes the kids and Biggles would go to actual locations, like a zoo, a circus, and even Old MacDonald's farm. Interesting, isn't it? Each episode was about something kids (and maybe adults) love, like animals, sports, traveling, and more. The series showed that even kids can produce and star in their own music videos and be just as creative as adults (or almost).

Kidsongs was good, and so were the song covers, but it could've been better if it had a plot and some original songs. Again, I could be wrong about all the songs being covers of already existing songs and the episodes consisting mostly of the characters singing.
