Dallas was much more then a television series it was more like a cultural phenomenon that symbolized the greed and materialism of the Reagan Years. JR Ewing was the man you loved to hate and in a way you envied him because he appealed to the dark side which is in all of us. How many of us have ever dreamed of having money and power and the ability to get away with whatever we wanted to do? This special brought back all of the stars from the show thirteen years after it was cancelled and they all seemed to have aged very well as they laugh joke and talk about their years on Dallas. Mary Crosby, the woman who shot JR, makes a surprise appearance and Larry Hagman seems like a very nice gentleman the opposite of the character he played.
