On one level, it's sort of absurd. Could someone become an adoptive "mother" without the due process of the law, especially when the child goes to the same school that her "mother" is teaching. On another level it get absurd. A lethal martial arts mother/school teacher, who survives getting shot in the abdomen, but why not! It's no more absurd than batman or some ninja warrior film. I loved the acting, I loved the story, I even loved the nice Mr Douglas Henshall playing a baddie. Above all, daft and unbelievable as the ending is, I still loved it. I only marked it down a point because nobody can get shot in the abdomen and not require major surgery.
