Despite this movies many traditionally indie flaws, such as some shaky acting, stilted script, small budget and a generally amateurish vibe, it still successfully relayed its pertinent message loud and clear in a decently entertaining production.

I thought the way they drew parallels connecting modern day issues and the BLM movement to a traditional horror story in many clever ways was very interesting and enjoyable. The production was also greatly helped by the lead actresses performance, she really kind of carried the whole thing.

I think this had a lot of potential that it unfortunately didn't quite reach. All the building blocks, all the ideas were there... they just came out a little garbled. It felt a bit like this was geared more towards a young adult audience with PG-13 vibes and maybe not so on purpose. It was still entertaining regardless and I appreciate it doing something fresh and interesting with an important message. Would recommend.
