Tim Realbuto's (writer and title character) mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 20 years ago and served as an inspiration for this very realistic grounded telling of an overweight and unmotivated MS sufferer who finds a reason to improve his life after finding employment at the boxing gym that his father had made a name for himself, prior to his tragic death. Finding strength from the support of the gym owner, Bobcat works himself back into shape and comes to terms with the loss of his father and builds up his inner strength and self confidence to rebuild his relationship with his family.
